‘Thank You for Hearing Me’ feels like a time capsule for the future, intended to encompass a wide range of human enterprise experiments as a love letter for humankind. The way we connect, the way we deal with each other, and the problems we create for the planet, with suggestions of how to evolve and surpass them. It is all referenced in this 10-minute film that aligns vintage imagery, collages, and video-collages in order to create a loose storytelling that might provide insights on how to be hopeful and positive in the face of challenges. The title of the work comes from a Sinead O’Connor song from the album ‘Universal Mother’ and reflects my sincere appreciation and compassion to everyone who takes the time to watch and engage with it.
