The world of work is changing, with more and more people today working independently, outside of organizations. In this session, Professor Susan Ashford shares her research on what it takes to survive and thrive in this setting and what these workers’ efforts at what we might call “radical self-management” teach all of us, whether we work in an organization or on our own.
