During this unprecedented time of disruption, leaders have had to reimagine how to motivate their teams and foster connection. In this session, Associate Professor Lindred Greer and Scott DeRue, the Edward J. Frey Dean of Business, explore how the essence of great leadership and teamwork uniquely comes alive under extreme conditions. Together, they’ll discuss the research and practice of leading effective teams through crises. They’ll share their leadership insights from the events of this past year as well as stories of Scott’s extensive mountaineering experience, where leading a team to summit requires motivating individuals to work as a team because their success and lives depend upon it.
