George Ward
Mary Ewart Junior Research Fellow in Economics, University of Oxford

George Ward earned his PhD from MIT’s Sloan School of Management and is currently the Mary Ewart Junior Research Fellow in Economics at Somerville College, University of Oxford. He will join INSEAD in June 2025 as an Assistant Professor of Organisational Behaviour. George has published widely in leading academic journals across economics, psychology, and management, and is the co-author of “Why Workplace Well-being Matters: The Science Behind Employee Happiness and Organizational Performance” (Harvard Business Review Press) and “The Origins of Happiness: The Science of Well-Being over the Life Course” (Princeton University Press). His work focuses on the study of human well-being, using Big Data and cutting-edge statistical techniques to address pressing challenges in business and public policy.
