Associate Professor of Management & Organizations; Faculty Co-Director of the Center for Positive Organizations | University of Michigan
Dave Mayer is driven to create a better world through the development of ethical organizations (and the people in those organizations). His research focuses on how organizations can create environments that promote ethical behavior and discourage wrongdoing. Much of his research examines how aspects of the work context (e.g., leadership, peers, climate) impact employees’ (un)ethical conduct. He also interested in understanding how to get people to view business as a moral domain of life and to improve the reputation of business as a vessel for having a positive impact on society.
