Good (and Bad) Lessons on Company Culture from Silicon Valley

You don’t have to look far in the headlines or popular culture to see mounting evidence of what’s wrong with Silicon Valley and the startup world as a whole. From front-page news about the bro culture and misogyny at Uber and leading venture capital firms, to the too-close-for-comfort verisimilitude of the HBO comedy series “Silicon Valley,” we’re seemingly reminded daily of what startups are doing wrong. But can we also learn positive lessons on company culture from startups? Serial tech entrepreneur and Michigan Ross entrepreneurial studies lecturer Jim Price will lead a discussion of startup culture takeaways from both sides of the ledger – good and bad – and how we can apply those lessons to enhance the culture of our own organizations.
