Stewart Thornhill is the executive director of the Samuel Zell and Robert H. Lurie Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies. Professor Thornhill teaches in the BBA, MBA, and EMBA programs and works with a variety of executive education clients at Ross. Research interests include competitive strategy, corporate entrepreneurship, and innovation. He is faculty director of the Zell Founders Fund and serves on the editorial boards of the Journal of Business Venturing and the Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal. Thornhill’s extensive background also includes global experience, having held the Karel Steur Chair in Entrepreneurship at the Universidad de San Andreas, Buenos Aires; and various professorial roles at Jacobs University in Bremen, Germany; the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris in France; and the Richard Ivey School of Business in Western Ontario.
