Pilar Buelna is a senior manager at Snap Inc., a global technology company renowned for its multimedia messaging app, Snapchat. There, she oversees global Council facilitators. With a background in non-profit leadership, prior to joining Snap, she managed the Social Services and Development departments at the Salvation Army Southern California, increasing services and programs by 50% during her tenure. Previously, she directed parent involvement initiatives in education non-profits and was a founding member of Equitas Academy Charter School. Her civic engagement includes serving on Los Angeles city commissions, education boards, and university advisory boards. Ms. Buelna began her career in social work as a children’s and medical social worker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature, and a Master’s in Social Work, and is a licensed therapist in the state of California. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three daughters.
