Creating a social enterprise can have profound impact, but it is not easy. Professor Michael Gordon has interviewed nearly 150 social entrepreneurs and others from around the world who have begun or been instrumental in creating social enterprises – organizations committed to poverty alleviation, better health, a cleaner environment, and so on. He will discuss this work, focusing on areas where many have stumbled (preparing oneself, creating a team, running an organization, and understanding how to create impact) and provide examples and advice from those who have succeeded.
