Joe Malcoun

CEO, Nutshell

Joe is the CEO of Nutshell, a sales collaboration tool for small and medium-sized businesses. He spends most of his time staying out of the way of his incredibly talented team and building external partnerships with other amazing software companies.

He is also Co-Founder of Cahoots, a 25,000 square foot innovative, shared-office concept and place of community for tech companies and their teams in downtown Ann Arbor.

Prior to joining Nutshell, Joe founded CKM Capital, an early-stage tech investment fund focused on supporting startups that build companies in Michigan.

Before founding CKM Capital, Joe worked in strategy and corporate development for DTE Energy and was an early team member of the sustainability consultancy GreenOrder.

He is a three-time graduate of the University of Michigan, but has not yet cracked the code on how to get great season tickets to football games.

Joe is very active in the Ann Arbor community and holds leadership positions on several non-profit boards including 826michigan and 826 National. Additionally, he mentors entrepreneurs at several accelerators including Techstars Mobility and Desai Accelerator.

He loves live music, paddles wood-canvas canoes better than he rides bikes, and has a severe weakness for good food and drink.
